General list of things that you need to send to the universities.
Scores:
No sooner you complete your GRE/TOEFL test, you can send the scores to four universities and if you wish more then
you have to direct the ETS to send your
scores to the universities.
Application fee
You can pay it online using credit card (or)
Send DD with the respective amount (or)
If someone is there in US you ask them to sent the cheque
Forms:
Graduate/Under Graduate School Application
Research/ Teaching Assistantship forms (Recommended)
Seperate application to the Dept(not mandatary, check wit the Dept)
Transcripts
Class X( Attested by your principal with your school seal, send them in a sealed envelope with
your school seal on it)
Class 10+2 (Intermediate)( Attested by your principal with your college seal, send them in a sealed envelope with
your
college seal on it)
Bachelors
From your college
Transcripts of all the semesters( Attested by your principal with your college seal, send them in a sealed envelope
with
your college seal on it)
Recommendation letters on your college letterheads. Minumum of three for your college professors send them in a
sealed envelope
with your college seal on it)
Resume(look here for some tips)
Statement of Purpose
Affidavit of Support, Original document signed by your parent or gaurdian saying that he/she is sponsoring for your
education
Bank Statement, On the Bank letter head signed by Bank manager, keep atleast 20,000 USD
Experience letter(if applicable)
Copy of your passport which contains your photo.
Note: These are the general list of the documents, still you have to
check in the Univ Admission requirements for any additional documents.
No matter they mention it or not it is always recommened to send the above documents.
Once the application is in School, give them 3 weeks time then you can ask them the admission status.
